ADAM AND EVE DID NOT EAT THE APPLE

ON TODAY’S SECRET

Have you read the story about how man sinned and was sent out of the Garden of Eden? If I asked “who is to blame?”, the guys would most likely blame Eve, while the ladies would blame the devil…or Adam himself for agreeing to eat the fruit given to him by his wife. Well whoever you choose to point your accusing finger at is not our concern for today. What is, is the fact that contrary to what many of us believe;
ADAM AND EVE DID NOT EAT THE APPLE

How was the earth created? Who made the first man? Who made the person that made the first man? You see, I can’t answer the last question but what I can tell you for sure is that man did not self-evolve from some weird tree jumping, banana eating monkeys. God created the heavens and the earth and everything in them (Genesis 1:1). After which He made man on the sixth day and rested on the seventh (I’m sure we all know this). When God made man, He gave him dominion over everything on earth and instructed him to eat of every tree except for one; the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (Genesis 2:17).

The bible tells us about how God regularly came to fellowship with Adam and Eve in the cool of the evening because they were close buddies and stuff. One day the serpent came to Eve when Adam was away and convinced her to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and she ate. On Adam’s return, Eve massaged him (Lol) and made him eat the same fruit. Immediately, their eyes were open and they saw they were naked (Genesis 3:1-7).  You know what happened after this. Now I know you are thinking “but you said they didn’t eat the apple”, NO they didn’t eat any apple! The bible never said the fruit was an apple, it only says it was of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, not the apple tree. Most times the apple fruit is used as a symbol and not literally.

…But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shall surely die…
So in case you thought they ate “the apple”, I’ve got news for you; THEY DID NOT! If it were an apple they ate then all of us who eat apples today would have been sinning over and over again. Apple is awesome! Go ahead and buy some right now! Enjoy!

SARAH WAS ABRAHAM’S BLOOD SISTER

ON TODAY'S SECRET I'm quite positive our last post came as a surprise to you. Well if it didn't, then today's post should. You know why? Because it is about the fact that; SARAH WAS ABRAHAM’S BLOOD SISTER Abraham is regarded as the father of Christians worldwide. He is a much respected figure in the Christian world and is many times preached and used as an example for Christians to follow in their walk with God. In fact, there’s a song we always sang in Sunday school, it goes ; father Abraham has many sons, I am one of them and so are you, so let us praise the lord! I’m positive you know this song . W hat many don’t really say about this figure (most likely because they don’t know) is that he was just like every other person. One time when Abraham travelled to Gerar, he was asked by the king who the woman with him was, and he said she was his sister (she was actually Sarah, his wife) (Genesis 20:2  http://drbo.org/chapter/01020.htm ). KING DAVID WAS A BASTARD!

ON TODAY'S SECRET I'm sure we well know that many of our biblical celebrities weren't born with silver spoons, or at least didn't have it all easy. Just like many of us today, life hit them up and knocked them down, but because they stayed true to God and knew Him, they came out victorious and today we can read and learn from their stories. one of such persons was the man David.  I guess you didn't know that; KING DAVID WAS A BASTARD! What comes to mind when you hear the name King David? Well for me there are several things. Some of them are; the man after God’s heart, the king who danced naked in front of thousands of people, the king who killed a man just to take his wife, the shepherd boy who killed the giant Goliath, the very humble king, and the very controversial guy…the list is almost endless. But I bet we didn’t know that this man David was an illegitimate son of Jesse. In fact the man (Jesse) was ashamed of him and didn’t initially regard Davi
